Anxiety over normal developmental sequences
Self-Identity
Fitting in and peer pressure
A general lack of life experiences
Mental depression or illness
Dysfunction family members
Being too old for some activities and not old enough for others
Most teens acquire the drugs by stealing them from a parent’s medicine cabinet, liquor cabinet, smoke/cigarette stash or asking a friend. The use of drugs is not necessarily abuse of drugs though. Adults also have insecurities and also abuse drugs. What folks must realize and deal with is that objectionable as all this is it is mostly normal. Society’ response to all of this is what drives such into abnormality.
