so…my exwife and myself filed for an amicable divorce early this year, she was facing losing the kids and going to jail on a domestic charge unless i dropped it. she could not afford a lawyer, and therefor was eager to sign any proposal we threw her way to keep out of jail an have some sort of custody of the children…we reached an agreement. after the charges were dropped an custody settled, she decided to turn me into dcs in an attempt to get full custody im assuming. there was nothign wrong with my house or the way i was raising the girls, so that complaint was dropped flat out. heres the tricky part….we both infrequently smoked marijuana, no other drugs, no drinking…but on a night the kids were gone, or if we had a night out, we would indulge in a joint or two. so dcs shows back up a week later and tests me, which of course i failed…ok not really a big deal since it was just pot, even the worker said so,and the people at the drug center said it was ridiculous i was even there for marijuana…so i had to go to a rehab center an pay for classes and get a certificate and anticipate another test in 30 days…she was very clear to have this all done and be clean in 30 days or i would have to go to court supposedly. it has now been 6 months…i have had no word from this case worker, she will not return my phone calls or messages, and i dont know what is going on with the case. im not worried because i am clean an will begrudgingly remain that way for my kids, but i do not like having this case left open and unsettled…what was the point of the threats, and spending hundreds of dollars on classes if she cant follow up on it? does anyone know about their case process, or is this normal?    Read more...
