Can I Be a Police Officer in Tennessee if I Am No Longer Eligible for Rehire in Corrections?

Question by : Can I be a police officer in Tennessee if I am no longer eligible for rehire in Corrections?
I quit without a two weeks notice in Corrections because of family emergency, so I am not eligible for rehire in Corrections in Tennessee. I was also drug tested and tested positive for marijuana use while in Corrections, but they did not fire me for it. My employment status is voluntarily quit. Can I still become a Police Officer?
