Bringing a(n Unused) Water Pipe on a Plane. Memphis Tennessee Airport?
Question by : Bringing a(n unused) water pipe on a plane. Memphis Tennessee airport?
Hi there everyone, I have done a bit of research on my own and have checked out a few sites regarding this including the one below
http://www.airsafe.com/danger.htm
It seems to me that it is perfectly legal to take tobacco pieces (pipes, waterpipes, hookahs, etcetera) as long as they have not been used for any illegal drugs (such as meth heroin and marijuanna)
SO my question to all of you out there is
has anyone traviling from memphis tennessee had their tobacco products confiscated? I like to collect said pieces, and would like very much to give a gift to one of my friends, but i would much rather not waste my money if the TSA (security scanners) are just dickheads.
(it is tuesday night and i leave on thursday afternoon so a quick reply would be great)
Looking forward to your response 🙂
I must say that i dont have any checked baggage as i have been on a weeklong buisiness trip, and i must use my carry on. Would taking a small bag of tabacco help or hurt my case, sorry for not being more specific when i asked. I also generally would like to avoid checked baggage as i have no idea how they treat that equipment and know i will be very gentle with my own. Thanks again

I would put it in my checked bag – definitely not the carry on to prevent questioning from TSA.
